This year I turned 36 and is the 10th year of being an alternative therapist, that I’ve gone far still feeling even more curious on this path.
In the beginning of my practice, I did consultation, chose oils according to people’s symptoms and offered a soothing massage. They felt good afterwards but the same issues always came back again. I questioned myself, “Am I doing something wrong?” “Am I not good and knowledgeable enough?” “What can I do more for the client?”… It was like wearing a beautiful yet uncomfortable dress, having the need of constantly checking and adjusting my posture. I always felt something was missing; something was not complete and not aligned with what I felt and wanted to do.
Last month I returned to Hong Kong my hometown and offered my integrated tools to my beloved friends, familiar and new faces. A friend of mine asked me: “after these years, your psychic power must be stronger!” and I said “no, I give back the job to explore and to welcome all inside to people.”. As my partner and many of you said that my touch(presence) is more grounded than before, which I’ve realized that is about Being not Doing.

During these years of searching, learning, reflecting, failing and growing, my understanding has been broadened that it includes seeing the person as well as the plant as a whole, the symptom as a communicator, the connection of human body with their environment/Mother Earth, the cosmic and astrological influence on human and plant, the body-psyche expression, taking and inspiring the responsibility of self care, and so on…
I appreciate and bow to the complexity of life. The shifting point of my practice is when I gave up the idea of treating people/symptoms, but with my loving presence to hold the space, to allow healing happen and to support people to explore. It is very important to combine the knowledge, mindfulness, intuition, observation, sensitivity, compassion and trust, and embody these qualities…. I am very grateful to continuously work with aromatic plants and share the magic of touch with you.
Much Love to you,
Sabine
